In 2012 I founded The Intentional, a print literary magazine that exclusively publishes the work of writers who have not yet published a book. I continue to serve as editor-in-chief of the magazine, which runs fiction, essay, literary journalism, poetry, the occasional review, and many other surprises.

I am also a freelance writer, editor, and editorial consultant living in Brooklyn. I have worked as the editor for this Forbes.com vertical, as a consultant and executive editor for Innovations Stories, and as an environmental reporter for VICE News. Currently, I'm focused on writing long-form reported features and essays for a variety of publications.
